Infrastructure projects do not always begin with a design problem. Many begin with an information problem.

An outdated plan. A missing benchmark. An area that looks accessible from aerial imagery but is flooded in the field. A utility that was not identified early. A drainage feature hidden under vegetation. A right-of-way assumption that was never verified.

At the beginning of a project, these conditions may seem minor or invisible. But as design, permitting, and construction advance, they can become expensive to fix.
